Varisco Grazia

Grazia Varisco was born in Milan on October 5, 1937.
From 1956 to 1960 she attended the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, student of Achille Funi.
In 1960 she joined the Group T with Giovanni Anceschi, Davide Boriani, Gianni Colombo and Gabriele Devecchi, taking part in all the group's demonstrations, at the art exhibitions of Arte Programmata and Nouvelle Tendance.
Since the mid-1960s, Grazia Varisco has continued experimenting independently, creating the "Schemi luminosi variabili" (1964) and the "Reticoli Frangibili" (1968-71).
From 1969 to 1973, she travels frequently to the United States, where she has many opportunities to meet with artists and scholars.
In the 1970s, she dedicated herself to graphic design, design and relationship between programming and casuality.
From 1981 to 2007 she teaches at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan.
She participates in important national and international exhibitions including: Biennale di Venezia - Italy, 1964 and 1986; Quadriennale of Rome - Italy, 1965, 1973 and 1999; Trigon of Graz - Austria, 1977; Electra at the Museum of Modern Art de la Ville de Paris - France, 1983; Triennale Toyama Now at the Museum of Modern Art in Toyama - Japan, 1990.
In 2007, at the San Luca Academy's announcement, she received from President Giorgio Napolitano the National Award "Presidente della Repubblica per la Scultura".
