D’APRÈS DUCHAMP

D’APRÈS DUCHAMP
5 November 2016_ 5 February 2017

Project by Piero Cavellini

The exhibition set up in the Kanalidarte project gallery was born on the basis of a 1985 project, a synergistic action between artist Antonio M. Faggiano, who was then applying a rebuilding of fragments of Marcel Duchamp's work, along with other Dadaists Man Ray and Picabia, and Piero Cavellini who were interested in the subject on the subject, helping to promote an important collection in this regard.
The great themes loved and developed by the Dadaist artist will be the fulcrum of the whole show. However, it is not the works of the French artist to give soul to the exhibition, but the research of a series of artists who have been inspired or approached by those same themes. Using a categorical schema of Duchamp's work divided into three ideal macro-themes, the project aims to combine each type of work with the search for an artist, who in some way and from various points of view could be to this assimilated or countered.
