MAURO STACCIOLI_OPERE
(Volterra 1937)
The exhibition proposes an excursus of sculptures and works on paper by Mauro Staccioli, which witness the proliferation of the artist in the experimentation of different materials he uses for the design of his great environmental works. These are the result of Staccioli's interest in investigating the relationship between art and society and the development of an idea of sculpture that is closely related to the place - understood in its physical and social conception - In which and for which it was realized.
Among the works exhibited at Rome 2011, the prototype for the realization of his great sculpture that in December of the same year was installed in front of the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome.
