Horst Kuhnert was born in 1939 in Schweidnitz in Germany and in 1962 graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts with Professor Heinrich Wildemann.
1963 is a crucial year during which Kuhnert moves his interest from abstract painting to sculpture and begins to use alabaster as a medium.
In 1964 the creation of Raumflächen bas-reliefs and Raumkörper sculptures began, both using polyester.
Horst Kuhnert, member of the German Association of Artists and Artists Association of Baden-Wurttemberg, lives and works in Stuttgart.
